Activity:

  • Project B tweaks from playtesting feedback

Notes:

  • It was possible to glitch into the wall
    • I fixed the colliders on the tilemap as some of the tiles that were included in the rule tile were set so they have no collider even though they should.
    • I moved the starting position of one of the moving platforms that could push the player into the wall collider.
  • The player was behaving weirdly on certain vertically moving platforms.
    • I decreased the speed of them and that seemed to fix it and aligned with my level being a tad too hard, so slower platforms might’ve actually been a better idea to have.
  • I added one checkpoint on a spot where everyone seemed to struggle, being a rather infuriating place to die.
  • Pressure pads were hard to see so I changed their hue a bit as to not blend into the background too much and added a small light to stand out more.
  • I was told and saw that the game is difficult, but that was a design choice so I only made the moving platforms a bit easier, slowing some of them down.
  • I decreased the overall lighting level of the scene as I think it was a bit too bright and the darker tone fits more.
